Got a long list of emails, names or keywords with repeats in it? Paste it in and get a clean list where every line appears only once.
What this tool does
It reads your text line by line. When a line shows up for the second time, it is removed. The first copy stays where it was, so your list keeps its order. You can also make it ignore capital letters and extra spaces, so “Apple” and “ apple ” count as the same line.
How to use it
Paste your list, one item per line.
Pick the options you need (most people keep the default ones).
Tap Remove duplicates — or just wait, it updates while you type.
Copy the clean list or download it as a .txt file.
How to read the result
The small badges tell you how many lines were checked, how many are unique and how many repeats were taken out. Turn on Show only the duplicates if you want to see which items were repeated — handy for finding double entries in a guest list or an order list.
When it is useful
Cleaning an email or phone list before you send a newsletter.
Removing repeated keywords from an SEO or hashtag list.
Finding double names in a class, team or guest list.
Cleaning log files or lists copied from Excel.
What it cannot do
It compares whole lines only. “Ali Khan” and “Khan Ali” are two different lines.
It does not catch spelling differences like “Hamburg” and “Hamburgh”.
If two items are on one line (e.g. separated by commas), put each on its own line first.
Very big lists (several hundred thousand lines) may be slow on old phones.

Questions people ask
Does it keep the original order?
Yes. The first time a line appears it stays in its place. Only later copies are removed.
Can it ignore capital letters?
Yes. Tick “Ignore upper/lower case” and “Hello” and “HELLO” will count as the same line.
How do I remove duplicates in a comma list?
Replace the commas with line breaks first, or paste the list into a spreadsheet column and copy it back. Then use this tool.
Can I see which lines were duplicates?
Yes. Tick “Show only the duplicates”. The result box then lists every item that appeared more than once.
Is there a line limit?
There is no fixed limit. Lists with tens of thousands of lines work fine on a normal phone or laptop.
